Slightly riper style for the Mosel, but nice and clean with lingering acidity and a mineral finish.

Apr 17th, 2014I'm not sure if Erich Weber's wines are as complicated or complex as some of the "important" wines of the Middle Mosel, and besides, i've only ever drank them very young, but they are extremely pure, perfectly balanced (which is saying something in the modern era of Riesling,) very delicious, they sing at the dinner table, and they speak perfectly of the lower Saar valley. Besides which, they have that leafy green flavor that I adore. So really, what more could you possibly ask??

Sep 18th, 2013Zing!! This one has a bit of a kick!! Fruit forward and citrusy, semi-sweet off-set by subtle minerals. Quite nuanced. Reaffirms my penchant for Rieslings.
