My first 2019 Falkenstein. Similar to the few Falkenstein’s of previous vintages that I have consumed , the wine’s acidity takes front & center stage . A nose of lime , peaches and stone fruit put a smile on my face. In the mouth a structure that tickles your mouth like a lovers tongue. Just when you think sweetness might take over, the acidity behaves like a boxer who has their opponent on the ropes. A wave of minerals leave a long caressing finish in the mouth.

My first gisela. Electrifying, pure and very intense. Ultimate interplay of sweetness and acidity. This will morph into something special in the future.

A bit more shy on open, but then blossoming into the classic Falkenstein dance of herb and stone, crackling with zesty acidity that floats into a neverending finish that leaves you salivating (literally) for more. So good!
