Had in Portland, OR at Coquine. Winemaker drafts many different types of varietals - even whites and reds - and let’s everything grow naturally. It was dark, robust and very complex - reminded me of inky of sophisticated great Saint Joseph.

Meaty Syrah field blend cofermented with at least one white varietal. Medium bodied, nice dark fruit Syrah characteristics without noticeable tannins. Worked great with rare sliced ribeye with fresh shelling and green beans. Wine dinner with owner/winemaker.
