This was a more powerful red and dark fruited showing, with earth, slightly gamey , leather, and spice. Smooth tannin structure...if blinded on this..Id be in Old World all day...

Dark fruit, great spice, hints of blackberries, really enjoy but very young will wait a year before I try the nest bottle!

Wine number three of the Charlotte Hirsch dinner. Similar profile to the 2014 Raschen Ridge, plus a surprising note of pink bubble gum on the nose.

Wine number 2 of the Charlotte Hirsch dinner. This was the first time I've had the Raschen Ridge from Hirsch. It was surprisingly different from all the other Hirsch wines I've ever had, lacking that signature aromatic profile that I've become accustomed too. Good, but not my favorite of the night.

She’s a temptress. Seductive. I hate to play favorites with Hirsch, but this one always gets me. Damn delicious. Incredible nose.

Well the 14' Sonoma pinots are supposedly the best since 2009 per Antonio; it's painfully young to drink I imagine but I earned it. 6 days into parenting twins I did 2 loads of laundry, cleaned the house for visitors, watered the lawn, changed countless diapers, and managed to cook pepper steak for dinner while feeding both from bottle myself.
Every wine lover should have a friend like Steve Redenbaugh! I needed a great Pinot tonight Steve, thanks! Bright cherry, eucalyptus, spice, and sweet pepper notes, great paring.
