This just keeps getting better. Love the viscosity of this 100% Texas Viognier.

45 min away from the house sits the Texas Hill Country AVA. While this wine does not come from that AVA, that is the home of the winery. Jennifer and I had some wines to pickup and decided to taste through these again. Burnt street side hazelnut, spring flowers and orange peel on the nose. Lemons and limes on the front of the palate with a hint of petrol and tropics. Overall not bad at all.

I'm stunned that my state is producing these Rhone inspired wines. Slightly heavy hand with the oak. Should develop well.

Too much oak on this right now--kinda dominates everything. Possible that it might soften in a few years.
