Jumilla Monastrell

The king of #QPR Picked up this Mourvèdre after reading about similar wines and it lived up to the hype. Untamed spice and heat with notes of citrus, plum, and currant. Even a hint of scorched earth. Despite its huge flavors, each sip was complemented with delicate tannins. This wine is as dark as they come. #qprsuperstar

Black cherries, tart. Dark berry. A little too much acidity.

Not my jam.

I really liked this, but it's not traditional so I can see why others may not. Lots of ripe fruit, a dark chocolate finish. Really lovely.

If you enjoy plenty of dark aromas and a full fruity wine with structure, this #Jumilla is calling your name. Balanced, AND a great value!

Peppery, sensual: a half glass is just about right.

A little too acid for me.

My first monastrell. Really good. Soft like s merlot but more acid. Maybe like a soft cab franc.

Mourvèdre...one of my favorite varietals. Really enjoyed this, especially at HH for $5 a glass!!

Easy drinker. Nothing special but would have it again for the right price.
