Sep 30th, 2020Idk, the second half of the bottle had a funk to it. I don't remember that on the 1st half. Perhaps something wrong with my bottle or storage. Love high west typically. Edit- I think it's just the strong dill flavor, not for me.

High West Double Rye Whiskey cocktail: an experiment to post mixed drinks. This is in a Bates B.A.R. cocktail with beets, black tea, bitters. Delicious rye forward cocktail. Beets area nice addition for both color and flavor.

The blend of 16 year old and 6 year old just works. It has a touch of sweetness that aides the power of it and makes it feel so integrated. The nose is a delight. For 33.00 this is the best whiskey you can find. A real treat. Buy love it.
