Tasting the 2011: nose of blackberry and funk with wood fire smoke. A pleasant but bitter only taste muting the blueberry fruit underneath. Very little of the funk on the nose appears on the taste. Evolves in the mouth to violets, with a finish of milk chocolate.

Lots of life in this gem. A nice tannic backbone and great dark fruit/currant nose. "Rutherford dust" is captured well in this vintage.
