Lion Tamer Napa Valley Red Blend

I really like this red blend that’s showing well now. 40% Malbec, 21% Zin %21% Pet, 8% cab, 2% Mouvedre 1% Pet Verdot and 1% Merlot

Malbec, zin, PS, CS, Mourvèdre, PV, and Merlot. Bulky, dark and fruit forward. 14.8% ABV

This dark ruby wine’s nose shows bright red cherry and plum, black pepper and hint of vanilla. The palate features big fruit, mocha and a nice savory tobacco edge. Great tannins and acidity make it a wonderful wine to pair with beef. The oak treatment is beneficial, not overdone. The wine finishes strong with fruity earth notes.

Full, almost sweet aroma of blue fruit, cocoa, & cigar. Big & bold. Medium-plus tannins. Velvety, lightly dry notes of blueberry, dark chocolate, tobacco, subtle vanilla bean, black currant, & plum. Not as lush as I normally drink, but still really lovely. Medium acidity.

Very drinkable. Medium bodied. At Bouchon Santa Barbara.

8/2021. A blend of several grapes with Malbec and Zinfandel dominating. Not as big as expected with an ALC 14.8%. Smooth and easy to drink.

Sweet dark fruit with subtle spice on the nose. On the palate ripe plum and candied black fruit with undertones of sweet tobacco leaf. Soft medium tannins and medium acidity. Loads of fruit and a big soft body but not complex or layered. A somewhat one note wonder with not enough interesting things going on for my taste. If you like big fruit forward wines that are easy drinking due to the soft tannins and weak backbone then this one is for you. High alcohol.. may have residual sugar
