Light gold color. Pineapple and petrol on the nose. Massive 4th of July sparklers with a sweetness component on the palate. Medium minus depth and medium finish. Very enjoyable. My best bottle of this wine and vintage.

This has been my go-to domestic Riesling for years now. I agree that there are often interesting differences between vintages. For me 2017 seems to have slightly more residual sugar than other years but my guess is that this is only a matter of perception and it’s actually attributed to reduced acidity.
