HJW Vineyard Dry Riesling

No notes but the texture & length are impressive. Quite concentrated yellow fruits.

Stunning example of what 40 year old vines can do in the Finger Lakes. Awesome fruit, incredibly floral and wonderful acid balance with citrus, white peach, melon, honey and rose petal. Very ripe fruit fermented dry.
Part of the vineyard is biodynamic. Gorgeous with a long life ahead (but who can resist it now?)

Melon and honeysuckle on the lovely perfumed nose. This is rich, layered, and delicious with years left to grow. #FingerLakes #Riesling

Not as dry as I’d like but very pleasant.

For their most basic bottling, this is pretty darn good. Definitely punches a little above it’s weight class.

Great dry Riesling.

Melon, honey and stone fruit. Crisp.

Honey honey. It's lean, but fills the mouth anyway. Bright and lively acid, not spiky at all. Delicious. Well put together. 2011.

Last of the HJW sampling. Again a great American example of the varietal. In this wine you really get the "place" aspect of the wine. Less fruity more earthy. Highly recommend the HJW wines to have NY represented in your wine portfolio. Thanks again Oskar for allowing me to crash the party!
