Much better than the 2015 Vintage of this Catalan blending red grape that I previously tried. Reminded me of Beaujolais. High altitude fruit. Bright garnet color. Aromas of wild berries, sweet spices and minerals. Big raspberry and cherry fruit flavors. Touch of herbs. A little sour (not bad) on the finish. Fresh and vibrant.

Some grapes are primarily used for blending for a reason. This single varietal Sumoll wine is light on flavor but loaded with mouth watering acidity. Very faint red fruits on the nose and pallet. Touch of anise. Light to medium bodied. Again, better utilized as part of a Blend than on its own.
