Better alone, without food.

Nice easy drinking and perfect with polenta, spicy sausage and veggies. Plum, blackberry, black pepper and graphite notes.

Distinct American oak note but not over powering, nice white pepper finish, not a lot of fruit depth. Still on the young side.

Solid. Easy drinking. Found it malleable enough to work with a mushroom/truffle risotto and snapper with a spicy red sauce.

Noticeable oak. Wild blackberry.
