From the 41 wine lineup tasted blind at the Downs Club to find the new Members Premium Red - this was a late entry at No. 41. My brief notes when tasted blind “Sweet Red Fruited Perfume. A mid weight balanced palate with lovely ripe black fruits. I like this. “ In my top 5 from the initial tasting. Unfortunately not much love from the other tasters present much to their dismay when its identity was revealed. A high quality blind tasting as most of the candidates came from the excellent 2018 vintage. 65% Shiraz, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Cabernet Franc, 3% Merlot.

Assemblage de Shiraz, de Merlot, de Cabernet Sauvignon et Franc provenant de vielles vignes de la Barossa. Super nez de fruits noirs, tabac, cuir qui s'ouvre avec un peu de temps. La bouche est suave, avec des tanins souples. La finale est longue et savoureuse. Hill of grace ! Un jour.
