One doesn’t think of Henschke and outstanding Pinot Noir - at least I didn’t, until I tasted this 2006 from their Lenswood vineyard in the Adelaide Hills. Red cherry and quite luscious on the mid palate. This wine was doing it easily at 18 years of age. Not sure why they don’t concentrate on this more? Perhaps most of their good Pinot material goes into their sparkling wines.

Pristine and pretty. Soft and juicy example of Adelaide Hills Pinot. It's got complexity too but the weight is light. Very well made, balanced and food friendly. Easy to drink too. But don't let it think it's simple. It's not.

Beautiful red cherry, light in color. A touch of fresh herb flower, so balanced, some dried herb and wild brush. Very pretty, will age beautifully. Almost some resin/mint.
