Medium garnet red with bricking on the edges. Black and red berries with petroleum on the nose. Medium tannins (5.5/10) and balanced acidity. Medium to medium plus body. A touch of mint on the palate with dark berries, rocks and earthy notes. Redder fruits and anise coming through on the medium plus to long finish. Much better without a decant and out of the bottle. Drink till 2020.

Warm mixed black & red berries, elegant, soft spice, red dry florals, medium tannins, soft leather, good length, structure, balance and tension. Initially porty over the hill notes but improbably improved after half an hour in glass. Another great wine which should have been drunk 5 to 10 years ago.
