The nose is a touch salty and oxidative, which is surprising given its youth. There’s some cherry lurking behind it, though. If I didn’t know any better based on the nose I might it’s new world Pinot. Leaner on the palate than you’d expect Malbec to be. Bright cherry with a touch of the briny/salty character on the nose. Definitely not extracted or jammy. A decidedly more restrained Malbec.
