Medium-dark ruby color, smoky, meaty, subtle green bean/asparagus note, resolved tannins, rich, not heavy dark fruited flavors on the palate, long, lingering finish, excellent older Hermitage!!! (I’m SO happy the cork gods didn’t kill this one, I’ve had miserable luck over the years with the 1988-1990 triumvirate of Sorrel Greal with corked bottles!!)
