This is a Burgundy that needs to breathe, as both the nose and the taste expand exponentially over time. At first taste I was not impressed. While the initial nose was pleasing, I thought it was only average. I was distracted by other things and came back to it about 30 minutes later. The difference was nothing short of amazing; complex cherry, currants and dark chocolate wafted through my nose and it was both smooth and delicious. Zero aftertaste with a good balance between tannins and acidity.
