Pretty delicious for a rose. I do like french roses are heavy on the mineral profile as well as acidic, unlike Californian roses which I don't normally like because of over floral and excessively sweet elementz. This wine surprises the palete with a crisp and small bite with a seemingly slight bubbly effect, not bubbly like champagne, but a natural and subtle tingly effect. This was purchased at $17.99 which is double the amount of what I have spent on other french roses, but we'll worth the price. By the way, good wines do not have to cost an arm an a leg like the overpriced Napa Valley brands. European wines are heavily undervalued in California.
A delicious Sancerre Rose good for a summer day/night. Can be paired with spring/summer/fall salads, light airy desserts, fruit, lighter seafood dishes such as grilled white fish or ceviche. Delicious with a cheese and charcuterie board.
