Languedoc Vin Rouge Syrah Blend

Nice surprise! Really enjoyed this straight forward syrah Grenache & carignan blend. Budget friendly organic wine from two negociants who have their shit together!

Musty and dry. Mild. The sweet fruit notes are very subtle. The smell on opening is a bit barny, but it dissipates in the glass. It’s an easy drinker that would pair with just about any sturdy fish or any meat. Great price. Lovely wine.

If you like some oxidation...

Liked it and tasted black currant

Pale salmon color, ripe red berries on the nose and in the mouth (strawberries & raspberries, maybe some cherries). Dry with some sweet overtones, low tannins and low alcohol. Very smooth- pretty good.

Aroma is apricots by the pool. Smoky and solidly fruity, as others have said, smokiness mellows after a few minutes in the glass it seems. P easy to drink for how robust it tastes. Also: seems like I overpaid for this at WF, based on others comments!
