South Australia Shiraz

Excellent sharp, refined Syrah from a consistent region. Big, bold, soft spice. WBA

Eucalyptus nose. Blackberry fruit abounds. A little spice ( black pepper ). Nice oak and a round, polished mouthfeel. Savory.

tinge of spice, blackberry, big fruit in your face, vastly different from the other two, definitely my favorite and the cheapest at $12

Ruby red colour. Sweet tannin nose. Light bodied softness slushes around the mouth generating notes of black currant. Light acidity and a long finish.

Lamb with blue cheese, pairs perfectly

Surprisingly rich body for a Shiraz. Had this with some peppered steak and it was delicious. Don’t know how well it would stand alone but it paired nicely with the meal.

Really nice $15 wine. As expected, it’s heartlands.

2013- Unfortunately this one doth not profit from the passage of time. A bit over the top on bite with full force grape through and through. Hopefully other years are not similarly afflicted.
