Haywire 2011 Canyon View Pinot Noir - aged in concrete, finesse and complexity wrapped in spice. Highly recommended!

First time I have had anything from Haywire. Small.production facility well hidden off the main hwy in Summerland. Interesting facility with the philosophy of letting the fermentation and the wine speaks for itself. No oak used in their cellars but concrete barrels and clay. Juicy, aromatic..unlike most pinots I have had. Worth a try and dog friendly๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ˜„

I'm not well versed in white. Loved this. Haven't had a wine from Crush Pad that I haven't liked though.

2014 opened May 2017. Mint and green fruit on the nose. Astringent on the front of the palate. Smooth tannins mid palate, but it leaves a residual chlorophyll taste in the back of the mouth. Alcohol content is only 12.5, suggesting that the growing season in this part of BC was a little too short to maximize the grape's sugars. Drinkable but not great.
