1999: A nose more akin to single vineyard cote rotie, with the body to match. Luxurious mouthfeel, yet not overblown. At the core, a concentration of fruit, with further development ahead. Continued to evolve in decanter.

2000 Havens Hudson Carneros. Sheesh. Doesn't taste a day past 2010. Dark, inky, plum, graphite, slight leather and earth notes, firm and velvety finish. Should have kept this 5 more years.
