The 2015 Haut-Carles is plump, juicy and delicious. Inky blue/purplish fruit, lavender, chocolate, spice and licorice are front and center. Even with all of its intensity and raciness, the 2015 has quite a bit of supporting structure to balance things out. I would give it another year or so in bottle to allow the tannins to soften a bit further. Tasted two times. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2018)

Feb 6th, 2019Last bottle. Bold but not alcoholic, plenty of silky tannins balanced with dried cherries. Great example of how great Bordeaux’s can be. 2009 on 9/28/17

Sep 28th, 2017Wow. Drink it now. Everything u want in a Bordeaux; thick, but silly, tannins. Plenty of fruit up front to soften the blow at the end. Hmmm
