Malvasia delle Lipari
Not too sweet. Nice apricot, honey and perhaps some mint (others at the table for a stronger herbal sense thanI did) Lacking acid and slightly less syrupy than I expected. Perhaps since there’s no botrytis.

Apr 12th, 2018Un 2001 da ricordare. In bocca equilibrato al naso balsamico senza eccedere in frutta secca e miele. Rosmarino in evidenza. Bei tempi!!

Oct 5th, 2014Pale gold color. Aromas of dried apples, candied ginger, orange, and ripe pears. Medium + flavors of sweet raisins, baked pears, baking spice, marmalade, and apricots. Medium + finish and body.

Sep 29th, 2013Not overly exciting. Clearly a dessert wine but nothing other than viscosity and sweet stood out. Meh.

Jul 11th, 2021Nice aromatics, honey and dried piineapple with a nice bright front palate but then it goes downhill with a metallic finish. Really wanted to like this =/

Feb 8th, 2017Benefits from breathing a bit. Honey, lichi nut, bread pudding on the nose. More restrained on the palate than I expected. Viscous, not too sweet. Good, but not great. There are better non-vin santo dessert wines from Italy at $30.
