Third bottle! Still surprising and good. Quite good but not overwhelmingly so for Mabel’s Hainan chicken with flavored rice.

Jun 21st, 2022Second bottle. As previous but nose is distinctively more enticing of fruits and earth.

Mar 26th, 2022Another new encounter that’s surprising in a good way. Dark purple in color with notes of dark berries but a firm acidic lively palate carrying through to a medium finish. More energetic and lively than might be expected from the almost inky color. Only 10ABV! Very refreshing indeed for a red Yet paired very well with blackened salmon that’s pretty spicy! Only 49 cases made. AA13

Oct 15th, 2019Strawberry Fruit Rollup on the nose. Smooth and elegant on the palate. Has some caramel on the finish. Love.

Jun 5th, 2018Interesting wine. 10.6%. Inky Purple. Fairly tart / green / high acid. Not terribly complex on the palate but I guess it's not meant to be - this is made for drinking in quantity. Very floral, meaty, peppery nose. Hard to place, but enjoyable if you like weird and new varietals. My first Dornfelder.
