With 6 years in the bottle after two full years in mostly neutral barrel, this blend of 100% Zin is hitting a nice stride. 2008 was the year of the ferocious Mendocino County fires that filled the sky with an apocalyptic orange ash which literally fell on us during harvest/crush. Happy campfire still encircles the still bright spicy red fruit. Tea, leather, smoke and juicy rhubarb bring up the rear leaving me wanting another sip. This wine is STILL going. I'll revisit in 6 months.
