Last wine left from a cancelled First Leaf wine club experiment. Think of this as a halfway wine between the big, high-alcohol buttery oaked #chardonnay from the 80’s and 90’s and a modern style. Nice citrus and pit fruit aromas, buttery on the palate with some lemon curd but there’s a bitterness at the end. It’s a touch overripe as well, lacking freshness. Too many other great CA chards out there.
