Like stepping back in time, still showing some vibrant fruit, albeit a little more evolved with emphasis more towards cherry with soft licorice and a hint of spice rather than the typical young Napa profile…a unique experience…glad I filtered it while decanting !

Magnum 1996 Harlan. Third set of reds we tried at house dinner w A&C BG and MR&GR. This wine we tried alongside the '96 Screaming Eagle. So cool to compare these two wines. This wine tasted much younger- greener, stronger tannins. Gorgeous wine and fun to drink out of magnum
