Jan 10th, 2014Have you met Eileen yet? Her favourite colour is blue 💙 and she’s the great matriarch of the Hardy’s family. This 2017 Chardonnay is a tribute to Eileen Hardy and her significant contributions to the Hardy’s wine brand.
A big thank you for sending this sample my way, this bottle was definitely enjoyed!
The grapes for this Chardonnay come from the cool climate regions of the Yarra Valley in Victoria, and Tasmania. There’s no doubt this Chardonnay is the epitome of elegance and grace. If you’re a die-hard Chardonnay lover, like myself, this one’s for you.
In the glass it’s a soft satin yellow shade. The nose smells rich and full yet it’s refreshing and crisp at the same time. It made me think of creamy vanilla custard and fruit with a hint of baking spice. In the mouth, it’s absolutely divine. There’s toasty oak, creamy butterscotch, fresh stonefruit and refreshing lemon zest. 5 out of 5 👌
This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
