Another surprise. Double decanted and still needs time to open and settle. Vibrant and deep. Fruit gives way to Spice and bacon.......quick sharp finish

Here is a great Chilean Cabernet blend, to welcome the weekend with.

Beautiful color of dark red/burgundy, with a brick rim.

Nice nose of blackberries, blueberries, figs, cherries, strawberries, oak, bell peppers, licorice and peppercorn.

Full-bodied, smooth and elegant, with medium plus acidity and gorgeous legs.

Fruity on the palate with blackberries, blueberries, toasted oak, vanilla, bell pepper, licorice, black currants, forest floor, dirt, black pepper, spices and graphite.
Medium finish with nice, round tannins, spices and black pepper.

What a great red wine. Nice and balanced and very enjoyable by itself or with big hearty foods like a big steak.

A blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Carmenere.
Needs two hours to open up, any less, is just a waste of good wine...

Elegant and accessible now, with a great mouthfeel. Probably at its peak now, even though, the color doesn't suggest it at all.

Aged for 18 months in French Oak barrels.

14.8% alcohol by volume.

Celebrated valentine's Day with this gorgeous 10 year old, Chilean Cabernet blend.

Very dark ruby in color, that doesn't show age at all, with a dark purple rim.

Light nose of blackberries, blueberries, cherries, plums, smoke, vanilla, cloves, chocolates, black pepper and spices.

Full bodied and smooth with great legs and a nice mouth feel.

Bone dry on the palate with cherries, blackberries, oak, black currants, cedar, licorice, vanilla, tobacco, Coffee, dark chocolate, spices and black pepper.

Long finish with full, round, smooth tannins and a black licorice ending.

What a great Chilean blend of 72% Cabernet Sauvignon and 28% Carmenere. Great by itself or with a big steak. Delicious, well balanced and enjoyable.

This came out of a collaboration between the Italian Marchesi Antinori and the Chilean Haras de Pirque. What a wonderful outcome.

Thick and starting to deepen in color. Nose has menthol and dark brooding berries. This is day 2 open and the menthol is really taking trip on the nose. More than I remember on day 1. The tannins are silky and acidity still present, but fading. Green menthol and dark berries, blue and black, pine needles too and a bit of forest floor. Tasty.
