This bottle was stunning! The acid still so fresh - blind tasted was pinned as burgundy. A testament to the incredible talents of Bob Sessions in his tenure at Hanzell - showing what is truly possible from Chardonnay in Sonoma. Balancing before "balance" was a necessary descriptor / divider. This wine had mineral, acid, and weight all in harmony. And remarkable youth. Thank you Bob.

A beautiful Hanzell with some age. Toast, nuts carmel, on the nose and carmel, hazelnut and pear on the palate. This is why you lose great California chard in your cellar.
