Bismark Mountain Vineyard Zinfandel

Wednesday Wine Committee. Great hosting by Gavin. 1 sparkler, 4 whites, 4 reds and 2 dessert wines. All served blind as usual.

Chocolate covered everything. Dense, rich, flavor packed. Hershey kiss dipped strawberries, blueberries and over ripe black cherries. Fig, graham cracker, Andes mint and blackberry jelly dominate the palate. I called this Cali zin.

Fruity cherries raspberry. Leather mineral. Soft tannins. Tasty very drinkable

Hadn’t had this before but I was pleasantly surprised!

It’s hard to find a good zin. This is good but for the price we’d always drink something else. Spicy and fruity but drinkable. Balanced. Better than I remembered.

Ok. Not as impressive. Their reserve collection is better. Non descriptive.

Really smooth Zin and good drinking but perhaps didn’t blow me away. Could be that I just don’t love Zinfandel!

Good. Surprisingly smooth and light. Not super interesting. Could skip next time but not bad. Not sure it’s worth the money.

Great son. Spicy and deep flavors. Very intense but mellowed a bit as it was open.
