Artisan Collection Pinot Noir
The acid balance was way off on this wine -- would almost be better chilled and drank like a rosé. Hibiscus and red tea with cooked grapefruit-like astringency.

Acidity is on the crazy side...but at $9 at my local wine shop...I'll take it!

Heavy American oak on the nose, burring the fruits, with vanilla, blackberries, cherries, cloves and black pepper.
Medium + in body with medium + acidity and no legs.
Extremely fruity on the palate with oak, vanilla, cloves and blackberries.
Short finish with no tannins whatsoever.
There's Nothing left on this Pinot (with some Sangiovese) Probably on its last leg. Still fruity, but nothing else left in it. Had it at a party, they all finidhed the bottle, though...
I say , not drinkable.
13.5% alcohol by volume.

Light red/ brown in color.
Nose of smoke, barnyard, cherries and blackberries. Light in body.
Semi sweet on palate with cherries, blackberries, strawberries, spices, herbs and cloves.
Medium finish with flabby tannings.
Since the winemaker is Italian, he added some Sangiovese to make this more from his heritage, and to add some spice.

Our favorite from a week sampling different Pinot's. Fruit jelly notes that weren't overpoweringly sweet.
