Sipping Fine Wine

Hall’s Napa 2012 Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc, aged for 20 months in French oak (55% new), is a deep red color with aromas of dark dried fruit with hints of floral and spices. An ideal growing season in 2012, the palate shows dense dark berry fruit tastes with a touch of cinnamon spice, espresso beans and a bit of cacao. Well integrated with fine structured tannins, the wine is complex yet enjoyable and will age well for a number of years. The finish had good length and ended with a touch of oak.

One of our all time favorites around the $40-50 price point. Definitely fruit forward but in no way overbearing. Notes of cherry and chocolate up front, but dissipates so beautifully and satisfyingly.

Robert Parker rated this 100 points. It's pretty great. My wife says it has fresh cut flowers on the nose. Raspberry, cassis, wood, leather , and spice, with a jammy aftertaste. It will be 5 points for sure in 10 years.

Yes, this is the 30th or so bottle I've posted of this. I always reload on this label when HEB has it on sale.
