Light red brick color; nose has the expected red small berries, baking spices, and a hint of whiskey barrel all in a restrained format; taste is amazing with very (very) high acid levels and rigid structure but still with fine silky tannins, a powerful midpalate and a long finish that again shows hits of whiskey notes. Oddly, alcohol content is listed as 13%. Most interesting PN in a long while. Would be nice to try in 5-10 years.

Still quite fresh and lively. My first peak at the ‘15.

This Mendocino Pinot has some new barrel notes on the nose but mostly small red berries, christmas spices, and dark chocolate — most. of which carry through to the taste and finish. Tannins are fine and the structure mild. Great sipping with hummous, vegetables, and spanish hard cheeses.

Very light and fruity. Color a bit brown. Taste is good for pairing with pork with savory sauce. Impressed with the texture of this wine 8 years in the bottle.
