When first opened, the wine is very short. It has an ashy taste on the front and no back. The second day it mellows out and becomes a little more balanced, but still lacking in flavor. Not actively bad, but nothing to write home about either.

Tight aromas, a bit earthy. Big brawny Bordeaux varietals done in the typical extracted California style. Muscular tannins with a long finish. Nice.

Sweet but round flavor with some depth. Berry and vanilla notes. Great on its own or on a nice summer day with fruit and cheese. Probably wont stand up to beef. Love this for sipping with friends after work! 31%cab sav, 27% malbec, 23%merlot, 11% petit verdot, 8% cab franc.
