Liked it, probably would like it better after a bit more time in the bottle.

Who said a great Mendoza wine has to be Malbec? This is a superb Cab fresh with black fruit nose with an undercurrent of earthiness. Tastes similar except for a delightful pepper spice and fast flavorful finish. This would be amazing with grilled steak and chimichurri sauce.

Better by far than 8.4 would suggest. Bold but smooth with a rich cab character, perhaps a bit less dry than some.

A little sweet for a Cab. Smooth with a nice finish.

Virtually no traditional Cabernet notes. A little spice. A little sweetness that I typically associate with cheap wine. Has a little Malbec thing going on which makes me believe I might be picking up some of that whole terroir concept. The only good thing is that this is helping me stick to my New Year's diet - no interest in a second glass.

I'm not sure what's better...this bold black cherry Reserva Cab from Argentina or Jordan Spieth's game!
