Wow could have easily have confused this with a CDR it was a awesome wine from Provence

Provence in a bottle, herbs, violets, thyme, leather, pepper and red fruits, medium burgundy color, high acidity, tastes of pepper, star anise, pomegranate and cinnamon, round soft tannin, medium body and a semi-spicy finish, a perfect BBQ wine.

Fuller bodied than I usually like, good with lamb or pork chops. Black pepper, not fruity at first, softer as it sits. Interesting enough to drink alone.
