The main dining room at The Modern has to be one of the most exquisite in New York, with its view over the MoMA's sculpture garden. Thankfully everything else at the restaurant maintains or exceeds this exalted standard. The four courses I had there were perfection from start to finish. We started with this Riesling. Bone dry in style, plenty of minerality and with good acidity such that it worked beautifully with each of the lighter dishes at the table.
