Gustave Lorentz
Réserve Alsace Riesling
Alsace, France

Medium intensity, lemon colour. Aromas are medium (+) intensity, with notes of citrus fruit, lime zest and petroleum on the nose. Fully developed aromas. Dry sweetness, medium acidity, medium alcohol and medium (-) body. Similar notes on the palette including kerosene and wet stones. Medium finish. Quality level is very good. Can drink now; potential for ageing.

Solid Riesling from Lorentz. QPR is the hallmark of this producer. Tight acidity, bright citrus and stone fruit. Slightly off-dry.

12.5% alc.
Tasted several times over the last 12 months this is beginning to throw some of the initial reduction.
Drinking very well right now (2/2015) and I wouldn't be surprised if this shows great in a blind tasting by 2025.
For an entry level Riesling ($14+) from a good producer in Alsace this is (highly) recommended.

Not performing at its best tonight with a hint of that reduction that have been bothering me in some other previous bottles.
I'm torn on this but still think time will benefit it.

Roses & lychee. Well balanced. Pleasantly surprised.
