This generous rating may be the result of not drinking enough Barbera. Shame on me. Somehow I always end up drinking French/German. Cherry, raspberry, grilling spices, roasted wood. Medium body, high lasting acid, medium (-) tannin. Wishing for a second glass...

Really quite full in style. Colour deep red/ purple. Nose of plums and spices and a palate that although quite simple is very attractive

Colour: brick red, bright ish
Nose: lifted leather and spices, underlying red fruits, some lifted aromatics of stewed cherries
Palate: Rich and dry, depth enhanced by food oak supporting the stewed fruits
