Used CV. Ruby color with typical California cab nose, leather, earth, dried plum? Medium body and holding well still with sense of fruit. Long interesting finish that did seem to dry the mouth. Needs to revisit. Three weeks later on 8/12/16 still tastes the same. More legs on it. Will try after one day decanted.

Wow! Outstanding wine. Still sweet at the front from the fruit. Dark leathery flavors and integrated tannins. Soft, dusty mouth feel. Wine of the Year so far.

Oak right off the bat, with dark cherry and currant bouquet. There is a slight mint on the end of the scent. The initial taste is very earthy and spicy. It's very dry but not overpowering. Not a harsh finish. Slightly translucent around the edges, the color is very close to blood orange, with a medium feel in the mouth
