This is drinking perfect right now, minimal tannins but classical structure. Will peg the remaining bottles to drink in 2025. 45 minutes decanting: Classic dark berry nose, pepper on tongue, and beautiful linger. 30 minutes after first described: the spice has died almost completely down and now having a very jammy end, different and filling vs “I want to have another sip.” Still drinking nicely but definitely at peak now, don’t cellar longer than 2025!

It’s Zin night over here! I wanted more from this. Expecting big, jammy fruit. Reality is subtle fruit, high tannin. Not what I hoped.
The more I think about this, I think this is one of their shipments that arrived hot.

Boom 💥. This is all I need right now. I love a nice Zin that doesn’t throw too much heat, or too much jam. This is a superb one, and brings all of the good stuff.
