Napa Valley Merlot

Red cherry fruit red plum with notes of milk chocolate fine herbs nice complexity very elegant and stylish

I thought this wine was tasting perfect right now. Great showing of fruit from the 2007 vintage. Velvety with good structure. Texture is excellent!

Enjoyable. Aging nicely. Probably even better two years ago.

Leather, cigar box on nose, can smell the high alcohol but oh man the taste - dried dark cherries, tart cherry jam, excellently balanced tannins and a heavenly slow finish. I would say peaking right now. Delish.

Elements of cherry, plum and currant are complemented by notes of leather and licorice.

Enjoyed this wine but might be past its prime.
