Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe fruits, citrus, vanilla and spice scents. On the palate complex flavors of apple, peach, pineapple and lemon citrus, well balanced with acidity on a nice mouthfeel. Long finish ending with oak, vanilla, mineral and citrus notes, will continue to age. A beautiful Chardonnay

Full bright squeezed lemon, lemon custard, orange peel, citrus blossoms, soft elegant minerality, nice acidity and good finish. Better this time than the last.

Dec 24th, 2016First impression of the 2012 Grgich Hills Chardonnay—it's old-school and intense. Classic orchard fruit aromas are couched in flint and matchstick that hover like an electric storm over rather more tender notes of toasted walnut, brioche, and acacia honey. In the mouth, there's not an ounce of fat, it's lean with considerable energy and verve. There is smoothness, sure—but it's cleanly cut by lemon zest and white grapefruit pith, with minerally, toast notes emerging on the finish. 13.5% ABV | Sample

Feb 26th, 2016Divine. Totally different than previous vintage. Love the nose. Lots of floral notes all over the place.

Delicious. Crisp and without the syrupy overtones I generally dislike in Chardonnays

This was awesomely good. Saline and lemon and hazelnut, super aromatic. Best Grgic I’ve had.
