American oak nose of coconut and dill. Baked and jammy boysenberry fruit, and almost some EA but not quite. Dusted ripened black cherry and blueberry. Sweetened fruit all the way through with old fig. Solid for 17yrs.

Good to drink with a lovely homemade beef Bourgogne in the heart of the Yarra Valley. This Barossa Cab Sauv this very special. Will be hard to find it’s equal.

The Shiraz from the Apricot Block truly represents the essence of a high quality Shiraz from the Barossa Valley. Expressive, concentrated, but super balanced and fresh and a strong backbone structure that keeps it centered and leads to a satisfying and lingering finish.

2006 bottle drunk in 2020. Unusual, 18.5% alcohol, super powerful and spicy, although the elegance is not lost, mostly woody notes in the beginning, super strong and warming aftertaste

A big jammy bruiser, with an interesting burnt butter element in the (considerable) nose.

Once highly extracted... now, at last, showing a more open knit and relaxed feel.
Sweet and creamy cedar and sandalwood, blueberrycompote and a dark brambly coulis, peppery spicy and gamey. Great acidic vein, tannines resolved, wonderful hint of juniper in the long and balanced finish.
Very very nice..!
