Intense, quixotic, quick-changing on the nose and palate. Fruit and savoroness balanced well. Superb.

2005 Gravner Breg Anfora. Very deeply colored. Not very oxidized nose. Many orange wine producers could learn something about oxygen management from Gravner. Absolutely delicious with a lobster, rice, pepper soup and a pressed pasta with duck ragu. Savory, firm, dried fruit aromas, but not overtly oxidized.

So my second time around with Gravner was a bit more satisfying than my first, but I'm still not convinced. This bottle had notably more intensity and interest than the first time I had his wines. But I still don't... love love it. Intellectually interesting but not great really.

Softer an more elegant than expected. So pure. Overripe pineapple, apricot and almonds. Grassy mouthfeel with honeycomb wax. very dry. Very very good. I can't believe he quit making this.

Varietal > Breg but pretty sure he stopped making it to focus on the single grape stuff
