Super concentrated Barossa baby-the current release- a slippery and slurpy easy-drinking shiraz (AUD 145); the trophy wine of Mr and Mrs Burge; nice coffee and raisined fruit flavours rolled into a delish mouthful of rich flavour; excellent drink now.

18/20 (95/100) Аромат вишневого варенья, чернослива, табака, ванили, шоколада, морёной деревесины и кардамона. Тельное с довольно высокой кислотностью и мягкими, обволакивающими танинами. Шикарно!

Brought this back from Australia more than 2 years ago and finally I could not resist.
The nose was relatively subtle slowly revealing the nuances from 100-year old wines with plum, blackcurrant, eucalyptus, coffee, black tea leaf, black pepper, herbs, and hint of mint and rust iron. On the palate it feels expansive with good intensity. Gentle acidity played a supporting role to the silky sweet tannins.
Big with restrained power. Young. Need at least another 5 years to fully come together.

White and black pepper bursts from the glass. Eucalyptus. Dark and brooding. Smooth, plumy fruit. Coffee. Seamless.
